212 - The results are in

Selezen13 May 2008

Yes, the results are in. I think the comic says it all, so I'll leave any further comment until tomorrow when I get the final count after midnight.

Thanks everyone. Now I need to go draw a hotel.

Check out the forum for further news about the results and the future concept.

SelezenPoll results! (13 May 2008)

Yes, the count is done, and the poll results are in!

After checking and deducting duplicate votes (in the spirit of fairness), the count stands at:

Option 1 (Keep the store, take the money and make Tesco put it all back!): 72 votes

Option 2 (Take the vast amount of cash and make a bigger and better store! With a hotel!!): 245 votes

As you can see, that is a pretty big majority. I was surprised by that since I had more comments via email that opted for option 1. However, the public have spoken!

Rest assured, the 72 of you that voted for option 1, that the basic format of the comic will not change. if you have been reading the posts on the forum you'll note that the concept will include a new Battlebarge store as part of the proposed hotel. The store will still have the same influx of customers and idiots as it has had in the past. The basic concept will just be rolled into a larger whole!

Anyway, thanks to all for voting and for the valuable comments you all left. The format change will not happen right away - there will be some interim funny before the new sets and characters are drawn, and I'll let you know when the 'relaunch' is imminent!

SelezenBad news (16 May 2008)

The friday comic is going to be late I'm afraid. Went to the pub and lost track of time. Sorry. Comic will be up as soon as I get it drawn.
