249 - Times are hard?

Selezen24 February 2009

Sorry about the ridiculous tardiness. Inexcusable, I know, but you''ll excuse me anyway cos you''re a nice bunch of readers. :-)

Last night just seemed to run away from me. One minute it was 8pm, next it was 10:30! Nifty!

I''m experimenting with more new ways of drawing the characters again. Yeah, I know, I keep on doing this, but it''s my mission to make this drawing process as quick as possible. To that end I''m trying out Inkscape (no link, just google it!), a free, open-source vector graphics package. It seems quite good so far and seems to be making it quite easy to draw the characters. I''m trying to develop an easy way to position arms and hands primarily, which is always the longest job.

With this in mind, I may soon have the time to put together the promised artwork for the people who donated towards the laptop! No, I haven''t forgotten, just need to make enough time to do it all!

More on that soon, hopefully. Until then, enjoy the comic!

SelezenBad news is no news (02 March 2009)

Sorry everyone, there will be no comic this week. Can't even do a filler. Hopefully normal service will be resumed next week.

fubble...? I can imagine being a comic artist is a great reason to make up onomatopoeic words (and holy hell i spelt it right first time!)

@Marn - 'fubble' is actually a proper word meaning "trouser sound, made by someone who is equally astonished and excited." It is used by all the good comic artists, and all the bad and ugly comic artists too.
