250 - Beat the crunch!

Selezen10 March 2009

How late is this? Sorry for the tardiness, but a combination of writer's block and art issues delayed this insufferably long.

Also, sincere apologies for missing last week's update completely. Some problems came up that had to be dealt with and the funny just couldn't come. to make it worse, I spend the middle half of the week dealing with loads of health issues.

You'll note a couple of differences with the comic art today. Simon and Tim are both drawn in Inkscape! Full vector graphics at your service. The lines are cleaner and the drawing is actually slightly easier. The only drawback is that I have to export the images to PNG to put the backgrounds on. Still need to work out a way to simplify that process.

Note that the hands are drawn properly for the first time too! I found a good way to draw fingers and managed to get a more realistic look whilst still looking comicky! I think it's looking good, but it still needs a bit of work to be exactly right.

Not bad!

Anyway, nighty night.

You're too apologetic. We understand that life doesn't always allow for comic goodness, so we don't mind it being late or not appearing at all. We're just glad when there is a comic.

I agree with Marn on this, life can get in the way. Good things come to those who wait though.

The cleaner lines-- and the hands-- are much better.
