Ashoria - Capital of the Capital

Lave’s FirstFall continent is home to the world’s capital city, Ashoria. Straddling the River Shore, one of the few rivers on the continent, it counts as its attractions the seat of government, the largest shopping experience on Lave and the home of the GalCop Space Flight Training Academy.

It is here that the heart of Lave and GalCop’s administration are located.  As with most cities, the central area is the commercial heart of the city, with the impressive Ash River Plaza dominating the area. Just to the east along the river is the Riverside area, where the planetary government is seated. Here, the Tyrant and his lackeys rule the world according to the interpreted wishes of Her Imperial Majesty.

Karbeck, to the south-east of Central Ashoria, is home to GalCop’s administrative centre, Holdstock Plaza. The complex is a collection of three 2-story buildings set in a garden environment complete with copses of trees and flower beds.  It is an attractive setting, being the second site of the planetside GalCop headquarters.

South of the river is the more developed area of the city, with Lemanton, New South and Pedmar housing the dwellings of many government and military officials. GalCop also leases some of the housing in these areas for their own staff in agreement with the Lavian government.

Tanhame and Sicca are boroughs with a reputation for housing the retired and those who have finished their careers in various ways. Sicca once boasted the highest mortality rate in Ashoria for five-years running, and this gave rise to the popular joke “when you are Sicca living, move to Sicca”. Jokes aside, Sicca and Tanhame hold some of the most attractive housing in the city.

Reakle and Sonderby are the industrialised areas of the city, built to house the industries that were moved from the Central area during the city’s urban renewal programme in the late 3080s.
