Kalaeloa (John Rodgers Field) Hawaii, after erratic landing (0142hrs)
This picture was a little distorted when it was taken...no idea why. It might have been memory problems on the computer at the time. The events leading up to this picture were pretty exciting. I had intended landing at Wheeler AAF, but the runway ended up being too short (or I may have been coming in too fast), so I lifted off again and decided to give Honolulu airport a try, only to get just about onto the runway only to meet another plane coming the other way - full throttle, hard a starboard and just got out of the way in time! After pushing my heart back down to where it was supposed to be, I came around again and came in to a rather messy landing at Kalaeloa Field. Still, any landing you can walk away from...
