122 - off a wandering we go

Selezen03 July 2007

BIG news today! The comic site is revamped! iStrip stopped working on my hosting provider after I upgraded to a better package. I tried looking at different options, like btPHP, Komicaze and the like, but nothing worked the way I wanted it to.

So I wrote my own. Welcome to aspToon: probably the best (if not the only) ASP-based comic hosting technology there is!

We've got comments, we've got a shoutbox for announcements, we've got a built in notification tool. We've got it all!

You'll notice a bit of a cosmetic change too. I've moved this News box back to the bottom of the page, beside the new Comments sidebar. That makes room for the Shoutbox, which is my tool to give you all important information without being too wordy.

Anyway, enjoy today's comic. the artwork isn't quite as much as I'd hoped, because it took me long enough to get this site working, but it's the same script. The last panel was meant to be looking up the street at the pub, but I haven't drawn it yet!

Enjoy, and let me know what you think by using the Comments form or the new Contact form.

P.S. We atually managed to get the comic in the top 100 of TWC yesterday, even if it was only for a couple of hours. It was still a nice feeling. Thanks to Dan, Marquis and Simon (no, not that one) for the assist with that! Keep voting, readers!

Ooo, shoutbox. So there really IS a world outside the store. Next thing you know there will be background extras and maybe after that they'll have social lives!

The PC and the Cash Register thing will return. Let's just say things are 'frosty' at the moment. Mr. B is out there somewhere in comic land. More than that I can't say!

I'll be working on a whole new image file full of 'extras' soon. For the moment, though, I'm concentrating on drawing exteriors.

I love your comic! Episode 120 was brilliant, and I like how Tim always mentions the girl to Simon's annoyance like in this episode. :D
