009 - Cost over quality

The comic's first real arc carries on...

Some mixed reactions about the CGI backgrounds so far! They aren't quite finished yet, so I think I'll return to the standard drawings for a bit while I polish up the CGI.

Today's comic is half pen/ink drawing and half lineart in PSP. The more I am getting the hang of the artwork, the easier it is getting to correct stuff in PSP without having to redraw and rescan!

I'm realising that using a Bic biro to do the lines may not be the best pen to use. I'm going to seek some advice on the matter, maybe from my local Partners.

Check out my main site over at hughesd.co.uk over the next few days: I'll be installing the newest version of the CMS software I use on there soon. It's called NukEdit, and is on of the fastest and simplest systems I've used. It's written in ASP, since that's the language I know best. If you want to know more, surf on over to nukedit.com to have a look. Tell Rick that Dave sent you!

No big post today - I'm going to spend some time with my lovely wife before going to bed. Every Monday night seems to be a marathon drawing session... More optimisation of time needed!!!
