05 February 2008 184 - The Lego Debate |
05 February 2008
I should probably tell you about avatars. Anyone who has read or watched even rubbish cyberpunk stuff is probably aware of what most people think the future of the internet is. Yeah, it's all going to be virtual reality where you can plug into it and immerse yourself into the internet and travel to other computers in person and stuff like that. Whether or not that happens in real life, it's a pretty accurate description of Toonspace, but real people can't access it as easily as all that. Comic characters are represented in there too, but thier look may be slightly different. Take Simon, Dave and myself for example. our characters look like Legomen in Toonspace. The new look is what most call our 'avatars'. it was a subconscious decision of Dave's that caused it. That and the fact that he had a set of handy lego figure drawings on the memory stick he stores the comic art on. It was an easy decision from that point. Either that or it's all bloody nonsense and this is a metaphysical dichotomy and Dave has really just blown the last synapse of his already overtaxed brain. Maybe. |
