21 March 2006 014 - Mysterious benefactor? |
21 March 2006
Another comic!! Surely not! 14 issues, and I'm already finding it hard to start these news posts. Anyway, today's comic is brought to you by the miracle that is caffeine. A slightly new drawing style today, since I have changed totally the way I pencil the characters. Thier bodies are now a bit more proportionally correct (I hope) and don't look quite so buff! The last frame is a bit of a copout, since it's entirely drawn in PSP. The reason for that is I spent 2 hours carefully crafting a nice composite image of Tim and Matt in front of the monitor, but then PSP crashed and my file hadn't been saved. There was much wailing and gnashing of teeth, but that's what I get for not following my own damn advice and saving regularly. Anyway, hope you like it - it's the start of another mini arc, and hopefully this one won't have such a forseeable ending! It's very strange how the world works, you know. I've been planning this litte story for a long while now, and only two weeks ago Larry over at Toyzville introduced a computer into his strip! Now I'll have all you lot saying that I can't come up with my own ideas! Damn! There is much going on over at Golden Throne! My guest comic for them last week seems to have galvanised the forum into putting together a few comics too, and it looks like the site and the comic might be getting back on its feet. I do have a little story in my head for the site, and I just hope I get the time to draw it. It's exciting stuff, so use the link button on the right and go take a look for yourself. I've started a couple of topics in the BB forums (link at the top of the page) regarding the game that has featured in a couple of BB comics. It's called Conflict 4000AD, and I'm giving any wargamers out there the chance to contribute to the comic by creating some of the rules and system for the game. Check it out and see if you want to have a go! It's 1am as I write this and I have work in the morning, so I'm off to bed. Enjoy the comic and see you around! |
