240 - Unforeseen...

Selezen23 December 2008

Yeah, I''m a big Trek fan, I know. It''s always sad when someone who has been a big part of your life for years passes away. She did a lot for science fiction along with her husband, bringing various versions of Trek to the screen alongside Andromeda and Earth Final Conflict. She even tried to heal the rift between Trekkies and Babylon 5 fans by appearing in the latter series.

No-one can claim to be more part of Trek lore than Mrs Roddenberry. As the computer voice she has graced EVERY incarnation of Trek and has played a wide variety of roles.

I hope she is reunited with Gene and they are beaming down inspiration for us all. RIP, Majel.

I don''t know if I''m going to be doing a christmas extravaganza this year. I just don''t have the time at the moment. I''m HOPING to get some free time on Xmas Eve (HAH!) and if I do then I''ll put something together for the Big Day.

I''d like to thank rc, Scruff and swalker for thier insightful comments yesterday. Most constructive and useful. I''ll be sure to take your suggestions on board and have a look at your webcomics to see what I''m doing wrong, since obviously you probably do it so much better than me. Send me a link and I''ll go look.

To be honest, the 3D aspect of the comics isn''t the problem - the problem is that the writing quality has gone downhill. The jokes are lame and I''m dragging this introduction to the hotel out far too long. Between you and me, I''m having trouble coming up with jokes at the moment. Maybe my head isn''t really in a funny place. That''s the problem with going on hiatus, I think - I got out of the mindset and I''m finding it hard to get motivated. I won''t lie - the lack of forum use and the recent dearth of comments/feedback is a bit disheartening. Maybe by going on hiatus I''ve killed the comic''s audience. Can''t expect people to hang on forever, I suppose...

Hopefully after the Christmas madness is out of the way I''ll get a chance to settle back into it again and get some stories/jokes written down ready to be drawn.

P.S. BB is three years old now.

Si may be about to die, depending on what starship he's on. if it's Kirk's Enterprise, he's screwed. Also, my art critic forces me to say that it looks like Si's head is a bit too far back on his neck...

Yep. Looks like I forgot to move Si's head after I rotated it. Bugger.

I suppose you could cover up the 'head too far back' thing by saying he was doing that wierd neck jerk thing people do when they hear something ridiculous. My wife does it everytime I speak. CH

And for those people who think the plotline has gone to pot. The forum has an open policy about posts. Why not post your strip ideas and give us all a laugh? CH

Campana, Si won a settlement with a certain major UK grocery company and used the money to buy a hotel with a shop as one of the in-house features. CH
