269 - Face off

Selezen21 July 2009

I had to search for this background. Couldn't work out where the old scenery files had gone, then I remembered that I backed them up and shipped them out to Alexandria. That's what I call my fancy shmancy external drive. Nice.

Anyway, I found them. Yay.

It's 40 years since we landed on the moon, you know. I'm sitting watching the docudrama Moonshot, showing the run-up to the landing. The casting is interesting. James Marsters (Spike from Buffy) and Andrew Lincoln (various UK dramas). The irony is that Marsters became famous putting on an English accent to play Spike, and Andrew Lincoln is a famous English guy putting on an American accent. I like the parallel. Shame that Andrew Lincoln is crap at American accents, really... I think they stole some of the soundtrack from either Apollo 13 or the Carling avert when the guys are in space and one is wearing trainers when they try to gain enlightenment. Heh.

Congratulations to Aldrin, Armstrong and Collins and the rest of humanity for that achievement.

Zooooooooooooooooooom!

It's my stepdaughter's 19th birthday today! Yay! Happy Birthday Amy!

SelezenLateness (27 July 2009)

Sorry everyone who is checking for the update today (Tuesday), but I'm too tired to draw and my eyes hurt too much to look at the screen!

Check back on Wednesday for the update.
