13 October 2009
Yay! An update on time! Not bad, seeing as I''M STILL ILL!!! Even more impressive is that this week there will be a comic on FRIDAY too! Yes, tonight''s drawing session has managed to spawn two strips! Will I manage it again next week? Who knows?? Yep, I now have an upper respiratory tract infection thanks to that thrice damned swine flu. Practically, this means that I am coughing like a banshee and can''t take any deep breaths without coughing fits ensuing. I also bring up a lungful of yucky stuff about every 20 mins and have to take my asthma inhaler every couple of hours. Not good. The first hint that I might still be unwell was when I managed to drive into the gatepost on Thursday. I''ve driven for nearly 20 years now, and apart from one unfortunate incident that''s the first time I''ve actually driven into something. The best part was that i was wondering why the car wouldn''t move and it took a few seconds before it occurred to me to check the driver''s side mirror. Anne wasn''t happy. Only a couple of strips left now until the end of this game. Who will win? Who knows? I have two alternate endings for the comic in my head. One was scripted and one came into my head a couple weeks ago and now I don''t know which one to use. I thought about making it a reader vote, but I think I know what way that would go, so I''m going to leave the ending up to the toss of a coin! Yeah, really! I like both, and both offer closure on the comic and the character stories. If you want to submit a guest strip to post after the comic officially ends, then by all means feel free. I''ll take submissions for comics until the end of the universe, really. Just because I stop writing for it doesn''t mean that the comic has to end full stop - if others want to submit their scribblings then there''s a very good chance that I''ll post them!! Better than good, actually. On a similar note, if anyone wants to write and draw up a story, I''d be happy to host it on the site and let BB carry on under the banner of another writer or artist. I did contemplate splitting the BB duties and becoming a writer and seeing if anyone else out there fancied doing the artwork for the comic. If anyone''s interested, drop me a line! Cor, that was a long post... |

Perhaps when some holidays come up I could churn something out. It would be unlikely though, as I'm a lazy git by nature. On 13 October 2009 at 06:24:05, Marn said: (cont.) Your vehicular incident gave me a hearty good laugh though, so thank you. Si's a sly bastard. |
